Steve Bodenweiser

Steve has been in the automotive industry as a technician for over thirty years. He started his automotive career in Chatham, at the Getty Station, then worked at a dealership where he received training on fuel injection, air conditioning, brake service and electrical systems. From there he moved on to other independent shops, where he continued to learn through hands-on experience and formal class training.

Eventually the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) program was started and Steve began taking and passing their difficult series of tests to achieve his MASTER AUTO TECHINCIAN status. Steve then went on to receive his L-1 (advance level specialist) in automotive computers, electronics and emissions. Today he is a member in full standing with the Mechanics Education Association. He attends training classes one or two nights a week to keep pace with the changes in automotive computer systems.

While attending classes for today's cars, Steve stays current on the upgrades and improvements that have been made to the classic British cars. In 1979 he purchased a Triumph GT6 and then took the next several years to completely restore it. In 2000 he purchased a second GT6 and restored it. Both cars have won several first prizes at car shows.

In 1993, Steve's Auto Service was opened on the corner of a small repair shop in Madison. Then in October1996 the business was moved to a gas station in Morristown. After ten years at that location, Steve's Auto Service is located at

128 Washington St Morristown, NJ.

At Steve's Auto Service, we work on all cars. Plus we are a re-inspection station.

Steve's love of cars and computer systems keep him on top. He can repair cars others send to the dealer. Hybrids, diesels and gas engines. We can repair any computer or electrical problems. We also specialize in repairing classic British cars.
